Sankofa Family Literacy Summer Series is a literacy enrichment program for students entering Kindergarten through 5th grade. Through reading, storytelling, creativity, cultural awareness, and hands-on activities, students will prepare for the upcoming school year in a fun, supportive environment.

About the Series
Sankofa means "go back and get it." It reminds us that by learning from our past, we build a stronger future.Through books, culture, creativity, and community, our children will discover their stories and their power.
This program is designed to help students:

Who: Students entering Kindergarten–3rd Grade

Tuesdays: Student sessions

Kindergarten: 5:00 PM - 5:30 PM PST

Grades 1-3: 5:45 PM - 6:30 PM PST

Grades 4-5: 6:45 PM - 7:30 PM PST

Thursdays: Family literacy workshops from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM PST

Saturday (July 11th): Family Community Day from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM PST
